Hey there! We are Andrew and Jenna, the founders of WorkLocal.
This project started back in 2021 during a three-month road trip through the western United States. We were traveling with an ambitious goal: upload a new travel vlog to YouTube every other day while living on the road.
We could usually edit videos at night from our tent, but uploading them was another story. We needed reliable WiFi, power outlets, and a comfortable place to work for hours at a time.
The problem? Finding a good work spot wasn't easy. We'd show up to a cute local spot that looked perfect, only to realize there was no WiFi, no outlets, or nowhere comfortable to sit and work. This meant we often ended up at big chain coffee shops instead.
That's when the idea for WorkLocal was born. We wanted to create a resource where remote workers, nomads, and creatives could easily discover work-friendly local spots all in one place.
Five years later, we finally brought that idea to life.
Our mission with WorkLocal is simple: help people find great spots to work while supporting the local businesses that make every town unique.
